   I’m not going to spoil the surprise by giving away too much of the secret – you’ll have to go there yourself to discover the whole thing – but I am going to let you know some of the great things that you can expect in this beautiful Samui spa.

Is Spa opened 2 years ago (originally named Four SeasonsTropical Spa). And since then has proved to be something really special! It’s centrally located in Chaweng, on the beach road in front of its parent hotel – the brand-new, breathtakingly-original, semi-minimalist The Library – set between Baan Samui and Chaba Samui Resort. And you could hardly miss it with its magnificent, carp-filled lily-pond that spans the entire wide frontage.

Attention has been paid to every detail here, both inside and out. Tropical gardens with flowers and herbs (which are used in some of the treatments), waterfalls and stylish architecture outside. Private, sound-proofed, air-conditioned luxury within. In fact, there’s just about everything here that you could wish for.

There’s an endless list of treatments available here, as you’d expect from a top-of-the-range spa. But perhaps the most exciting is the Hot Stone Massage. Hot, smooth, volcanic pebbles are placed on your various chakras (natural body-meridians) by two therapists who combine the use of essential oils and the movement of the stones to stimulate your lymphatic system, helping to detoxify your body. It’s an extraordinarily stimulating yet relaxing treatment, definitely worth experiencing.

And if you’re having an oil massage, there’s an incredible selection of 16 different essential oils to pick from. Is Spa even produces various blends, too, which correspond to your own sign of the zodiac, making the experience as personalized as you could possibly wish for. And, not only do the therapists here offer you samples for smelling, but they also explain the different characteristics of each one and its individual benefits to you.
