And although it’s an integral part of one of the island’s finest resorts – Amari Palm Reef Koh Samui – it has its own individual identity. Wander through the beautiful tropical gardens and you arrive at an open-sided spa reception that absolutely oozes style and class.
It’s bright and airy, comfortable, and above all else, it’s beautifully decorated with fine touches of elegance everywhere you look. Birds of Paradise flowers in square glass vases here, bamboo wall ornaments there. And this all adds up to an overall feeling of tropical tranquillity and total escape.
 The delightful reception staff welcomes you with a cool drink and the menu of services, offering you various oils and fragrances to choose from. And when you’ve picked your preference they lead you along a stepping stone walkway to your very own private spa suite.
There are just 4 suites here, making a visit to Sivara Spa an exclusive, and decidedly unhurried affair. Each can comfortably accommodate couples too, being extremely spacious and superbly designed. They are all open-air, but are kept cool by swirling overhead fans. Flagstone flooring, cream linen drapes, colourful plants in ornate vases, and a private tropical garden all play their part in creating a perfect backdrop for a special spa experience.
And they are split-level, with the massage area and changing room raised 3 steps up from the open-topped garden where the ‘wet’ treatments such as the body scrubs and body wraps take place. And it’s here too that you can also enjoy the thrill of an open-air shower, as you rinse off afterwards.
 There are numerous treatments available at Sivara Spa, including various massages, body-scrubs, body-wraps, facials, manicures, pedicures and some terrific value-for-money packages. The Sivara Package is an incredible 5 hour experience that includes a rose foot-bath, a body wrap of your choice, a full body massage, a facial, a foot massage, and finally an herbal elixir. And after all that, you’re guaranteed to feel totally rejuvenated!
Although Sivara makes a great spa destination, think of it more as a journey. A very rewarding one.
