Take the road next to Bravo Restaurant / Sundays Lifestyle & Coffee, just 200 metres on the right before the T-junction at Bophut, as you’re coming from Chaweng. Then just follow the road to the very end. But if you don’t fancy finding the place yourself (and it is very easy), they’ll come and get you from your hotel – and take you back too after a refreshingly natural spa experience.

Sundays Sanctuary Spa has one of the most beautiful approaches of any spa you’ll ever go to. Let alone Samui. It consists of stepping stones along the entire length of a stream that runs from the car park to the spa reception. So, by the time you’re greeted by Khun Tor, the friendly spa manager, you’ll already have begun your journey into peace and natural tranquility.

There are no frills here. Everything is pure and simple. But that doesn’t mean it lacks in any way. Far from it. Go through into the darkened shower and changing rooms, and it feels almost cave-like. Emerge the other side, and you’re in the brightness of another world. Almost like a metamorphosis.
