 With the word ‘sanctuary’ in its name, you’d expect this spa to be a place where you can get away from the noise and
hustle-bustle. And here, at Sundays Sanctuary Spa, you won’t be disappointed.
And although it’s just kilometre away from the busy
ring-road, it might as well be a million as it really is so very peaceful. Take the road next to Bravo Restaurant / Sundays Lifestyle & Coffee, just 200 metres on the right before the
T-junction at Bophut, as you’re coming from Chaweng. Then just follow the road to the very end. But if you don’t fancy
finding the place yourself (and it is very easy), they’ll come and get you from your hotel – and take you back too after a
refreshingly natural spa experience.
 Sundays Sanctuary Spa has one of the most beautiful
approaches of any spa you’ll ever go to. Let alone Samui. It consists of stepping stones along the entire length of a stream that runs from the car park to the spa reception. So, by the time you’re greeted by Khun Tor, the friendly spa manager, you’ll already have begun your journey into peace and natural tranquility.
There are no frills here. Everything is pure and simple. But that doesn’t mean it lacks in any way. Far from it. Go through into the darkened shower and changing rooms, and it feels
almost cave-like. Emerge the other side, and you’re in the brightness of another world. Almost like a metamorphosis.
 There’s a real tropical atmosphere here. And I don’t mean coconut trees and beaches. This is the rainforest and jungle
element, and it’s a part of Samui that many never experience.
And, in keeping with nature, there are no air-con suites here. There’s plenty of fresh air everywhere, and being up a slight hill means that there are always cooling breezes, so it’s never uncomfortably hot.
A wide selection of top treatments, ranging from massages and body-scrubs through to wraps, facials and special packages are all available. As is a garden herbal steam room and a cold plunge pool.
