Located in the south of the island at Hua Thanon, just a kilometre further along the ring-road from Hin-Ta Hin-Yai (the famous Grandfather and Grandmother rocks), Villa Nalinnadda has a beautiful beachfront setting. This is a boutique spa with just two treatment suites; one for Thai/foot massages, and the other for oil/combination massages. And each suite has its own private steam room in its spacious en-suite bathroom in which you’re free to spend as long as you want – free of charge! (I’d like to add at this point that the resort’s swimming pool is also available to spa clients, free of charge.)

There are just four therapists here, but each is highly-trained in their chosen profession. And with the spa’s signature treatment – Nalinnadda – being a 2-hour Thai-Oil-Swedish combination massage demanding a wide range of technical skills, they really have to be!

Villa Nalinnadda Spa also offers a full range of interesting packages, with fun names, too, such as: Happy Barbie with its passion fruit with passion skin treatment followed by your choice of any facial therapy plus a complimentary 90-minute Stress Away oil massage; and Happy Sunny with its Be Radiant Again and Too Much Sun treatments followed by a complimentary stress-relieving I Can Fly oil massage.

And the products used here aren’t just any old lotions knocked out by local amateurs either. No, they are from the world-famous Pevonia-Botanica brand. And with numerous superstars such as Demi Moore, Angelina Jolie and Bruce Willis insisting on nothing else, it must be good!

 Villa Nalinnadda Spa definitely has an exclusive feel to it. This could be because of its small size. It might also be because of the innovative touches here and there, such as the background music being soft jazz as opposed to the overworked ‘green’ music you find everywhere. Or, maybe, it’s the way that absolutely everyone at Villa Nalinnadda treats you as both a respected VIP and a good friend at the same time. Personally, I think it’s a combination of all of the above.
